MY POOR BABY!! Before and After

How sad it was to watch my little monkey run into the living room, trip over the rug and knock his eye on the sharp corner of the coffee table on the 16th of September.
I was talking to Nana on the phone and had to hang up and rush Collin to the ER. I 'knew' he was going to need stitches. He just started dripping blood from his eye and it was running into his eyeball.
Luckily I lived 3 blocks from St. Mark's at the time and we were there in no time. They took us right in; no wait. He was so good and did everything the doctor asked. He just kept saying 'Doctor' and 'Obstible' (hospital) and 'ow'. I wasnted to cry I felt so bad. We were in the midst of moving and the house was a labyrinth of crap and boxes. A complete danger zone for a toddler.
After only being in the ER for 15 minutes, we got cleaned up and steri-stripped and sent home with neosporin. I was so glad he didn't need stitches. I would have been so so sad.
Above are the 'after' and 'before' pictures. The steri-strips fell off on the third day and he was just left with a HORRIBLE black eye. I could feel the stares everywhere we went and just knew people were thinking the worst. That is the hardest thing about being a mom to a boy; every little bruise, scrape and goose bump gets stares. What can I say? He's a monkey. He's constantly climbing, running, jumping and falling. That's what he does best. He is definitely 100% boy!
