So, everyone tells me I should do a blog. So I have gone and made the time to do one so everyone can see HOW ADORABLE my family is. Yes, I might sound cocky, but it's true. I have the world's most amazing, handsome husband and the most awesome, adorable, sweet little man for a son.
I would love to tell you I will update my blog often, but to that I cannot commit. I am super busy being a mommy, wife, maid and I run a candle making business from home.
I have tried many a time to do a blog for my candles, so I guess now that I am doing a family one, I will integrate my candles into it too. I hand make 100% all natural soy vegetable oil candles and I love it! Anyone who loves candles should get a hold of me. I fill containers you bring (you can choose the scent and color) or I have ones already made. But enough about that for now.
My son, Collin is going to be 2 in December (He is 21 months now). I can't believe it! He is so incredibly intelligent it blows my mind. He has been talking since he was 5 months (first words were mommy and dada, basically at the same time) and hasn't stopped since! He started walking at 15 months (kind of a late bloomer) and fell SO many times, I swore if he did it again, we were getting him a helmet! Speaking of falling, he fell on Wednesday night (Sept. 16) and split his eye open! No stitches, thank God. Just some steri-strips.
My hubby is in the Honda PACT program at Weber State and will be graduating next summer. Then he will be a certified Honda Technician!!! It was his dream and he did it! He is still stuck working at Arby's right just to make extra cash, but he is also working at Ken Garff Honda, so he is pretty damn happy about that. He is always smiling when he gets home from THAT job. : )
I am so lucky to have such an awesome family! Being a mom is definitely hard work, but staying at home with Collin is the best decision I have ever made! We have a ton of fun together and I wouldn't change it for the world. If I can give any moms-to-be advice, it would be to do everything in your power to stay home with your baby! Even if it means that money will be tight, you will NEVER look back and say you wish you would have worked instead. I have been there for his first smile, crawling, first words, first steps...everything. Oh, and BREASTFEED! No matter how bad you cry and want to quit, DON'T QUIT!! It pays off so much more than anything you could imagine! Collin did for 10 months... never had a bottle except once in the hospital when I was sleeping. Formula cannot replace what mama's milk can do for your little one!

  1. Collin is so cute. Glad you got a blog so I can keep up. Great mommy advise. It took a lot for me to be home with my kids, but every second is worth it. I worked for my oldest sons first year of life (hardest thing I ever had to do), but now I am exactly where I want to be...home with my kids!!
