VENTING!!

Okay... So I am totally venting right now, so bear with me.

I LOVE photography. Anyone that knows me knows that about me. I love taking photographs of people, their families, babies, pets...whatever! It is my passion, my job, my love.

Lately I am so upset and stressed about the way people perceive my business. No, I don't have a studio. I do on-location photography. Yes, I advertise on Facebook and KSL right now because I am just starting out. And NO.. I usually don't care what people think, but this is my business and how I am making a living!!

Don't get me wrong... I have had some great clients! But I have also had some that don't take me seriously and think they can put me off for days, weeks or even MONTHS.

I am not charging a ton for sessions or even prints to start out BECAUSE I AM STARTING OUT. Not because I don't take MYSELF seriously. I am a professional in every aspect. Don't people consider National Geographic photographers PROFESSIONAL? They don't work in a studio either.

And because I don't process credit cards (yet), I am not a business?

I expect the same respect I show my clients in return. If you say you are going to order something, order it. If you say we are going to sit down at my home to go over your photos so you can choose what you want, SHOW UP.

If you say you are going to meet at a certain location at a certain time, don't show up THREE HOURS LATE and expect not to pay for my time. (yes this has happened).

And last but not least.. DON'T rip me off! I don't care if it's $1. Don't do it. If you don't have the money at the time, you shouldn't have scheduled a session.

I am a person, a professional, a photographer. If you want great pictures done that capture your special moments with your family and of your little ones, call me! If you want Walmart-quality pics, go to Walmart.

It's not just because I am prego and hormonal. I am sad that people are attempting to take advantage of me and my skills.

All that said.. I really do appreciate each and every client in the end because they give me the experience I need and crave and also the living I am making doing this.
